El Salvador
Bruce Gilley Foundation Supporters,

I can’t even begin to tell you the depths that God showed me on this trip, but I want to show you how awesome and amazing it truly was. Like the last trip I took to El Salvador it started in the Prayer Fortress the night we got down there. My prayer this year wasn’t anything special. It was that I could deeply and intimately know who God is. I knew that in order to be able to truly get to that point then it had to be my intention the entire time and I can truly say that it was my goal was to reach such a deep relationship with the Lord that I knew exactly what he was speaking to me.
Relying on the Lord
Through this dependence on Him, the Lord showed me what it was like to continually rely on Him. There was one day that we were riding on the bus and John was asking people to give their testimonies to the programs, which is where we were doing our mission work. I told him I didn’t really have one and that people can’t relate to that, so I began to tell him that I’ve always had everything that I’ve wanted from cars to a motorcycle, hobbies, a great family, and lots of friends.

His question caught me off guard but it was so huge he said “Chase why are you a Christian then? If you have all of those things than what’s the point?” I sank in my seat and the Lord was like Chase it’s time for you to get up and show people the story that I’ve written on your heart that even though I had all of those things I was still empty.
Sharing My Testimony
It all clicked in one moment on a bus in El Salvador and that night we were at a Park Square and there were about 300 people there and that night I shared my testimony in front of all of them. I don’t know whom my testimony impacted but I know that it impacted someone. The Lord showed me the importance of sharing my testimony with everyone that I come in contact with because “They conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony.” Rev. 12:11.
I can’t begin to tell you how faithful our God is but through the testimony of the trip from others and myself we can begin to paint the awesome picture of our God for the entire world to see.
Thank You,
Chase
