SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT: Paige A.
God spoke to me this week in a few different ways and planted some important thoughts in my head that I don’t think I will ever be able to forget.
Comfort Zones
Comfort zones and I have a hate relationship
I’m human, so of course I absolutely love being convenienced. But if I always stayed in my warm and cozy safe zone then it would be super difficult for God to direct me to live out His unique plan for my life. Yes, my dance moves are atrocious and I had no idea what was being said a lot of the time in El Salvador, but somehow I know that God is still using me to fulfill His purpose of us being there.
God doesn’t call us to a life of self-fulfillment.
He asks us to step into the unknown, to reach the people that no one else will; and with a little prayer and a change in perspective you’ll find there is something exhilarating about being uncomfortable. God reminded me in El Salvador to avoid complacency and follow His lead no matter how uncomfortable it might make me. There are many things my earthly less would prefer, but I have to ask myself “what is it that I want to do? Okay, now what is it that I’m going to do instead?”
Avoid complacency and follow His lead

The Bruce Gilley Memorial Foundation –
Thank you so much for supporting me and giving me and giving me the opportunity to make a difference in El Salvador. You guys are truly in the life changing business, because without your support I wouldn’t have gotten the opportunity to invest in the lives of those who don’t know the Lord in El Salvador. Here’s an overview of what I took away from my time there.
