We have just completed our 2nd Annual Have a Nice Day 5K in Bruce’s memory. It was a day like none other for our family…I am still on a spiritual high. We had close to 600 participants this year, from Elvis to Avatar. There were hugs from old friends, excitement from first-timers and an overall feeling of JOY and fellowship…such a “Bruce” day. The day is a true reflection of the person Bruce was. It has been 6 years since his death and we are continually in AWE of the outpouring of love and support we receive. We are so blessed that we get to celebrate Bruce’s life and glorify God through this amazing race.
We don’t have an official count as to how much money that was raised. We know it is thousands of dollars that will be used in the coming year to benefit our youth. Bruce had such a heart for missions and youth camps. We are so thankful that because of the money raised, lots of kids who wouldn’t have the opportunity otherwise will benefit.
