The 2009 Have a Nice Day 5k exceeded our expectations more than we could have ever imagined. The day started with rain, but right before the starting horn blew, the clouds parted and the sun came out. God is so very good. The number of runners and spectators through the rain was truly a testament to God’s glory and an encouragement to our family that Bruce’s memory is truly living on. We could not ask for better support, better friends and family, and a better church family. So many people are to thank for making the race happen and for making it such a success.
We have been immensely blessed since the lost of Bruce. We knew that God had a bigger plan when He took Bruce, but we could have never imagined what He had planned. We miss him everyday, but seeing his life live on and his faith be a testament to so many, is such a blessing. Bruce would be so humbled and so proud.
We look forward to the 2010 5K and we hope to see the race continue to grow and touch many lives.
