Thank you so much for supporting me and giving me and giving me the opportunity to make a difference in El Salvador. You guys are truly in the life changing business, because without your support I wouldn’t have gotten the opportunity to invest in the lives of those who don’t know the Lord in El Salvador. Here’s an overview of what I took away from my time there.
Our team of nine worked with an organization call Castillo del Rey, through which we had the resources to reach out to the local children of Ciudad Barrios. We also had a team of Nationals working with us, who spoke Spanish and were there to guide us and work with us during the week. Ciudad Barrios is the one of the most dangerous places in El Salvador due to prominent gang activity. Most teams that come to work in Castillo del Rey chose not to go here because of this.
Throughout the week we traveled to different schools and parks in the area to put on programs, consisting of games and dances, in order to spread the good news of the gospel. God spoke to me this week in a few different ways and planted some important thoughts in my head that I don’t think I will ever be able to forget.
